Ladies Spring 4-Ball
After an 18-Hole qualifier that cut the field in half and and 3 tough matches the Gannon Ladies crowned their first major champion of the 2018 season. It took all 18 holes for the second time, but Gina Manning & Barbara Zihal (right) prevailed 1 up over Jane Fiste & Linda Courtemanche (left).
Congratulations also to our 3rd Place team of Joyce Agganis & Pat Ryback as well as our 4th Place team of Carol Mills & Denice O’Connor.
The Janice Vance Memorial Tournament was played on Monday at Gannon Golf Course. The format was 2 best balls out of four and the team of Jane Fiste, Denise Carney, Carol Mills and Diane Donahue (left to right) won with a score of 6under (136).

Gannon Ladies held their last tournament of the 2016 season with a Sucker in The Bucket tournament raising $140 to benefit Santa’s Helping Hands. Winning the tournament with a low net score of 69, was Tara Friedman, Julie Lombara, Chris Lynch and Linda Borash. Second place with a low net score of 71, was Jane Fiste, Nancy Patten, Denise O’Connor and Janet Wallace. Third place with a low net score of 72, was Lorraine Mills, Patty Roderick, Linda Gorynski and Juanita Grass. Fourth place on a match of cards with a low net score of 73, was Gina Manning, Linda Courtemanche, Carol Mills and Gail Conlon.

Gannon Ladies host last Major of 2016
The last Major tournament of the Gannon Ladies Innerclub was held on Sept 24th and 25th, Two day Fall Ball, consisting of day one with a Bramble and day two a two person best ball. Winning the two day tournament was Ann Dawson and Dawn Baribeau with a two day low net score of 133. Second place was won by Tara Friedman and Lisa Lynch with a two day net score of 135. Third place was won by Pat Ryback and Laurie Lynch with a two day net score of 136 and fourth place on a match of cards was won by Jane Fiste and Lorraine Mills with a 137.

Ladies host Gannon Cup
The Gannon Ladies held their version of The Ryder Cup on Sunday, with a 2 Team, Red and Blue Match Play tournament. Foursomes comprised of 2 Red team players against 2 Blue Team players with equitable handicaps to play a 9 hole Scramble and a 9 hole Best Ball, receiving 1 point for most match play wins for each and 1 point for overall for a total of 3 possible points.
The Blue team won 19 to 14.

Gannon holds Ladies Mixed Classic Tournament
Gannon Ladies held their Mixed Classic over Labor Day weekend. Members partner with the Men’s Innerclub for a 2 day, 2 person team, best ball tournament. On Saturday, partners Patty Roderick and Bob Bogart finished the day with a low round of 59. Sunday’s low round of 59 was scored by partners Joyce Agganis and Bob Cross, adding to their Saturday score of 62, gave them the tournament win by 7 strokes with a net score of 121. Second place was won by Judy and Wayne Johnson with a 62 and 63 for a total net score of 125. Third place was a tie at 128 and winning third on a match of cards was partners Carol Mills and Mike Timmons. Fourth place with also a 128, was partners Patty Roderick and Bob Bogart. Fifth place with a close 129, was Cathy and Mark Thibeault and sixth place with a 130 was Lisa and John Lynch.

Gannon Holds Ladies host Trip 6’s Tournament
Gannon Ladies Inner Club held the Trip 6’s tournament on Sunday August 28th. Four person team, each player partners with a member of their foursome for 6 holes. Holes 1 -6 A/B Winners Pat Ryback and Alana Pedersen with a 21 net score and C/D Players Carol Mills and Patty Hale won with a net 17 score. Holes 7 – 12 A/C Winners with a net score of 19, Tara Friedman and Carol Bonner and B/D players Juanita Grass and Angela Gilbert with a net score of 20. Holes 13 – 18 A/D Winners Kathy Jauron and Dianne Reppucci with a net score of 21 and B/C winners with a net score of 20 was Pat Podrug and Carol Mills.

Gannon Holds Ladies Member-Guest
Gannon Ladies Inner Club showed off Gannon by holding their annual Member Guest on Saturday August 13th. It was a 2 person Best Ball, one from the Members and one from Guests, Jungle Adventure tournament, complete with a scavenger hunt. Winning the low gross with a score of 156 was Mary Hunt her guest Kym Pappathanasi, and Ann Dawson and her guest Janet Moran. Winning the low net with a 129 was Gina Manning and her guest Bev Gallo and Helen Sidman and her guest Ruth Bee. Second low gross with a 160 was Pat Ryback and her guest Diane Muise and Joyce Agganis and her guest Rosann Bourgeois. Second low net on a match of cards with a 130, was Barbara Zihal and her 3 guests Cindy Schmidt, Diane Betsworth and Gail Hickey. Third low net also with a 130, was Lorraine Gately and her guest Paula Murphy and Mary Kelter – Strom and her guest Deb McHugh.

Gannon Holds Ladies Classic
The Gannon Ladies Inner Club held their Major Ladies Classic tournament on August 6th and 7th, two person teams best ball of the twosome. Winning the two day tournament was Joyce Agganis and Colleen Richards, who shot a 65 and a 62 for a low net total score of 127. Second place was a 3 way tie at 130, after a match of cards, winning second place was Mary Hunt and Julie Lombara by shooting a 33 on the back nine. Third place was Nancy Patten and Nancy Gheringhelli with a 35 on the back nine and fourth was Gail Conlon and Elaine Faithful. Fifth place was also a tie at 131, winning fifth place on a match of cards was Patty Roderick and Carol Mills with a back nine of 32 and sixth place was Jay Varriano and Linda Courtemanche.

Gannon Ladies hold Senior Club Championship
The Gannon Ladies Inner Club held the Senior Club Championship on July 9th. Winning the tournament with a low gross score of 88, was Pat Ryback, after a 3 hole playoff sudden death with Joyce Agganis. Carol Bonner won the Net Division with a low net score of 65 with an Eagle on two! Second low net was Pat Podrug with a 71.

Mixed Chapman held at Gannon
On July 2nd, Cathy Thibeault ran her annual Mixed Chapman Golf Tournament at Gannon Golf Course.
Both the Ladies Inner club and Men’s Inner club partner up for an alternating shot Chapman tournament. Each drive the ball, the man hits the woman’s drive and the woman hit the man’s, they choose the best one and alternate into the hole.
Winning the tournament with a low net score of 60.8 was Gina and John Manning. Second place was won by Nancy Patten and Jack O’Donnell with a low net 61. Third place was won by Alana Pedersen and Tom Fabrizio with a close 61.2. Fourth Place, with a 62 was Linda Corbett and Mike Timmons.

Gannon celebrates 4th of July with Ms. Liberty Tournament
Gannon Ladies Inner Club celebrated 4th of July with their annual Miss Liberty Tournament to benefit the Ouimet Scholarship fund. Teams made up of A/B/C/D players, where the A/B players played from the White and Green tees and the C/D players played from the Green and Gold tees, one net score from each pair.
Winning team of Jane Fiste, Roberta Pelland, Carol Mills and Patty Hale, won with a low net score of 121. Second place with a low net score of 122 was Pat Ryback, Linda Courtemanche, Helen Sidman and Juanita Grass. Winning the title of Miss Liberty with a low net score of 55 was Carol Mills. Second place with a low net score of 60 was Juanita Grass. Third place with a low net score of 67 was Tara Friedman and 4th place with a low net score 68 was Denise Carney.

Gannon Ladies host 1st Major of the season.
Gannon Ladies Innerclub held their first Major Tournament of the 2016 season on June 4th, 5th 11th and 12th. The Spring Four Ball was a 2 person team, 1 day qualifier with 16 teams looking to move on to the 8 team Match play on the 2nd day.
On day 2, the 8th seed team of Patty Roderick and Linda Corbett beat the 1st seed team of Gina Mantino and Carol Mills 1 up on the 18th hole. The 7th seed team of Ann Dawson and Sue Don beat the 2nd seed team of Lorraine Mills and Kathy Jauron 2 up on the 17th hole. The 3rd seed team Nancy Patten and Colleen Richards beat the 6th seed team of Gail Conlon and Elaine Faithful 2 up on the 17th hole.
The 5th seed team of Joyce Agganis and Pat Ryback beat the 4th seed team of Mary Hunt and Julie Lombara 1 up on the 18th hole.
4 teams moved on to play the weekend of the 11th and 12th semi finals and finals. Roderick and Corbett beat Agganis and Ryback after going 21 holes to go to the finals. Dawson and Don beat Patten and Richards going 20 holes to play against Roderick and Corbett for the Championship. Patty Roderick and Linda Corbett won the Tournament on the 14th hole going 5 and 4. Patten and Richards beat Agganis and Ryback for 3rd place on the 16th hole going 3 and 2.

Gannon Ladies hold benefit tournament for Santa’s Helping Hands.
Gannon Ladies Innerclub held their final tournament of the 2015 season and raised $235 to benefit Santa’s Helping Hands of Lynn. The tournament was a Flag Tournament where golfers plant their flags on their last shot of their handicap. Roberta Pelland, was the only one who carried her Flag into the clubhouse by 1 stroke. Second place was Elaine Faithful, who planted her Flag on the 18th with a minus 1. Third place was a three way tie at -2 between Linda Courtemanche, Ann Dawson and Tara Friedman. Fourth place with a -3 was Julie Lombara and coming in fifth, with a -4, was also a three way tie between Joyce Agganis, Mary Hunt and Denise O’Connor

Gannon Ladies Four-Ball Tournament
The Gannon Ladies Innerclub completed the last leg of the Spring 4 ball on June 13th and 14th. Semi finals on the 13th had 4th place seed Patty Roderick and Linda Corbett beating 1st place seed Jane Fiste and Linda Courtemanche one up on the 18th to go to the finals. The 3rd place seed of Ann Dawson and Sue Don beat the 2nd place seed of Tara Johnson and Eloise Deveney 2 up on the 17th to also go to the finals. Winning the Spring 4 Ball taking it to the 18th hole was Dawson and Don over Roderick and Corbett. Fiste and Courtemanche took 3rd place over Friedman and Deveney also on the 18th hole.

Gannon Ladies hold Janice Vance Memorial Golf Tournament
The Gannon Ladies Innerclub held their Janice Vance Memorial Golf Tournament on Memorial Day. Winning the tournament with a low net score of 128 was Tara Friedman, Roberta Pelland, Denise O’Connor and Linda Gorynski. There was a two-way tie for second place with a 129 low net score for Nancy Gheringhelli, Alana Pederson, Sue Vaters, Barbara Crowley and Cathy Thibeault, Linda Courtemanche, Diana Brady and Marilyn Bonneau. Individual low net winner was Judy Johnson with a net 70 and second place was a three way tie with a net 71 for Nancy Gheringhelli, Cathy Thibeault and Marilyn Bonneau.

Winning the KickOff Tournament with a team score of 143 was Jane Fiste, Linda Courtemanche, Linda Corbett, Angela Gilbert. There was a tie for Second place with a team score of 150 Cathy Thibeault, Roberta Pelland, Sue Vaters, Dianne Reppucci Judy Johnson, Chris Lynch, Lisa Lynch, Linda Gorynski.

Gannon Ladies hold Annual Flag tournament for Santa’s Helping Hands
Gannon Ladies Innerclub held their annual Flag tournament with a donation of $180.00 to help support Santa’s Helping Hands of Lynn.
Each player decorates a flag and when they reach par plus their handicap, they plant their flag.
Winning the tournament with a net 67 and carrying her flag into the clubhouse, was Carol Mills.
Second place was won by Denise O’Connor who had a net 69 and she also carried her flag into the clubhouse.
Third place was a tie between Lorraine Mills and Diana Brady with a net score of 72.

Gannon Ladies Hold Rained out Miss Liberty Tournament
Gannon Ladies held their Miss Liberty Tournament a little late this year, as it got rained out in July. Winning the title of Miss Liberty with a low net score of 61 was Denise Carney on a match of cards over Diana Brady who placed second. Third and Fourth place was also a tie between Cathy Thibeault and Mary Hunt with a net score of 64.
Team Miss Liberty was a three way tie and was won with a match of cards by Mary Hunt, Jay Varriano, Carol Mills and Dianne Reppucci with a low net score of 82.
Second and third place also with a low net score of 82 was Nancy Gheringhelli, Patty Roderick, Patty Roberts, Colleen Toner and Joyce Agganis, Juanita Grass, Eloise Deveney and Diana Brady.

Gannon Ladies Hold last 2014 Major
Gannon Ladies Inner Club finished their last major tournament of the season, the two day Fall Ball. Day one was a Bramble pick your own partner. Both partners drive then choose the best drive and hit their own ball into the hole from there and pick the best net score. Leaders after day one with a low net score of 58 was Pat Ryback and Laurie Lynch. Lynch and Ryback came back strong on day two with a 69 low net score to clinch the two day tournament win with a two day score of 127.
Second place with a 129 was partners Jane Fiste and Lorraine Mills.
Fourth place was a tie at 134 between partners Joyce Agganis and Patty Roderick and Diana Brady and Eloise Deveney.

Gannon holds 25th Anniversary Tournament
The Mixed Classic has been a staple at Gannon marking the end of summer for the last 25 years. Running the two day tournament has been Joyce Agganis and Pat Ryback who had a vision to run a tournament that included both the women and men’s groups for a great weekend of golf. Winning the Mixed Classic for the second time in a row was Juanita Grass and Dick Lyle with a two day net score of 124. Second place was won by Cathy and Mark Thibeault with a low net score of 128. Third place was a three way tie at 129 between Nancy Gheringhelli and Matt Civiello Colleen Richards and Ron Young and Alana Pederson and Tom Fabrizio. Sixth place was also a three way tie with a net score of 131 between Nancy Patten and Jim Stafford and Patty Roberts and John Berg and Ann Dawson and Kevin Santry.

On Sunday August 10, 2014, the Gannon Ladies Innerclub held the Rained out Senior Club Open Championship. Two divisions played to win. The Main flight was age 50 to 59 and the A Flight was 60 and over. Winning the Main flight Gross was Mary Hunt with a score of 85 beating her sister, Ann Dawson by one stroke with an 86. Main flight Net was won by Nancy Gheringhelli with a net score of 73 beating Julie Lombara with a 74. The A Flight Gross was won by Lorraine Mills with an 89 beating Joyce Agganis with a 91. The A Flight Net was won by Elaine Faithful with a net score of 75 beating Carol Bonner with an 84.

There was a 3 way tie for second place with a two day net score of 129 between Ann Dawson and Carol Mills, Joyce Agganis and Colleen Richards and Carol Bonner and Suzanne Mulholland. Fifth place was also a tie with a two day net score of 132 between Tara Friedman and Judy Johnson and Eloise Deveney and Alana Pederson.

The Gannon Ladies InnerClub held a Mixed Chapman Tournament on June 22nd. Ladies choose a male partner from the Men’s club, both tee off, hit each other’s tee shots, choose the best one and alternate into the hole.
Winning the tournament with a Net 57 was Mary Mondello and her partner Mike Timmons.
Second place was won by Carol Mills and her partner John Berg with a Net score of 60.8.
Third place was won by Deb Murphy and her partner Jim Richmond with a Net score of 61.6.

Play continued in the Gannon Ladies Four ball on Saturday June 7th, where partners Gina Mantino and Helen Sidman beat partners Dawn Baribeau and Laurie Lynch 5 -4 to move on to the finals. Partners Tara Friedman and Judy Johnson beat partners Joyce Agganis and Pat Ryback 2-1 to move on to the finals against Mantino and Sidman. Winning the Four Ball Tournament by beating Friedman and Johnson on the 18th hole to go 1 up was Gina Mantino and Helen Sidman. Baribeau and Lynch beat Agganis and Ryback also on the 18th hole to go 1up to clinch third place.

The Gannon Ladies held their annual Janice Vance Memorial Golf Tournament on Monday May 26th. It was an ABCD Best Ball, 1 Best Ball on the par 5’s, 2 on the par 4’s and 3 on the par 3’s. Individual winners in the A Division was Linda Courtemanche with a Net 71 with second place going to Tara Friedman with a Net 72. Individual winners in the B Division was Jay Varriano with a Net 71 with second place going to Helen Sidman with Net 72. Individual winners in the C Division was Carol Bonner with a Net 79 with second place going to Pauline Bellomo with an 82. Individual winners in the D Division was Maureen Putney, with second place going to Gail Conlon. Gannon Ladies Inner Club kicked off the 2014 golf season with a Hot Ball Best Ball tournament. It was an ABCD draw, using one team best ball and one hot ball. Each player had hot ball holes where their net score was added to the team best ball. The A Player had handicap holes 1 – 5, B player had 6 10, C player had 11- 14 and D player had 15-18. Winners were Lorraine Mills, Mary Kelter Strom, Lisa Lynch and Mary Mondello with a total net score of 147. Second place was a tie at 150 between Judy Johnson, Deb Murphy, Trish D’Angelo and Marilyn Bonneau and Nancy Gheringhelli, Jay Varriano, Carol Bonner and Maureen Putney. Day one was an alternating shot and day two was a best ball. Winners of the two day tournament were Pat Ryback and Cheryl Meninno with a two day net score of 138.5. Second place with a two day net score of 139 were Nancy Gheringhelli and Janet Wallace. Third place with a two day net score of 140.5 were Barbara Crowley and Dot Tully.

Mixed Classic held at Gannon Labor Day Weekend Gannon Ladies Innerclub held their end of the year tournamentthis Labor Day Weekend. This two day Mixed Classic run by Joyce Agganis and Pat Ryback, pairs men and women members in a two day net score competitionthat highlights the end of the summer. The tournament ended in a tie between Juanita Grass and partner Dick Lyle and Julie Lombara and partner Bob Trepsas, both scoring a two day net score of -14. A tie breaker went to the second hole, where Grass and Lyle won it when Lyle sank a birdie putt to clinch it. Third place wasthree way tie between Carol Bonner and partner John V. Spencer, Cheryl Mennino and partner Jay Richards and Judy Johnson and partner Tim Perullo, who all shot a two day net score of-13. Sixth place was ano ther tie between Tara Friedman and partner Wayne Johnson and Jane and Jay Fiste with -12.

Ladies Classic Winners Lorraine Mills and Sue Don 2013 Gannon Ladies Innerclub hold Member Guest Disco Extravaganza Gannon Ladies held their annual Member Guest Golf Tournament on Saturday August 10ththanks to the hard work of Kathy Jauron and Linda Corbett and their many committee members.

Closest to the pin on hole #6 was won by Nancy Patten and Charlotte Upham Longest drive won by Gina Mantino and Rosanne Bougeois from the Green tees and from the gold it was Dot Tully (who won by inches over Gladys Kalapinski) and Sandy Lillo.

Second place was won with a net score of 126 by Denise Carney and her guest Karen Davis and Linda Gorynski and her guest Maureen Carr. Third place was a tie with a net score of 127 by Laurie Lynch and her guest Linda Peterson and Deb Murphy and her guest Sue Mitchell and Patty Roderick and her guest Sharon Sullivan and Jay Varriano and her guest Terry Blade. 2013 Gannon Ladies Club Championship The Winner of the 2013 Gannon Ladies Club Championship is Mary Hunt, who won on the 18th hole with a chip in birdie to beat Tara Friedman. Hunt’s total 4 day gross score was 319 to Friedman’s 320. Tournament was held over 4 days, July 13 and 14 and 20th and 21 st . In the Net Division, a new Champion was crowned, Patty Roderick shot a net 293 for the 4 days and beat Lisa Lynch who shot a net 299.

Second place was won by Lorraine Mills with 183 2 day score. In the Senior Net Club Championship division, Lynnette Roy won with a 2 day net score of 145 over Carol Bonner who had 2 day net score of 153.

The Gannon Ladies Innerclub held their Annual Cancer Cup on July 7th which was a six, six and six tournament to benefit the Cancer foundation. $225 was raised and will be donated to the Cancer fund from the Gannon Ladies Innerclub.

This is a Red, white and blue tournament where the Ladies hit their tee shots alternating from the reds (green), the whites and the blues. Lowest net score become Miss Liberty for the year. The 2013 Miss Liberty is Lorraine Mills who came in with a net 68. First runner up was athree way tie with a 71, between Nancy Gheringhelli, Jay Varriano and Mary Hunt. Team Liberty was won with a match of cards with a -12 to Linda Courtemanche, Lynnette Roy, Sue Vaters and Maureen Putney. Second place team was won by Nancy Gheringhelli, Patty Roderick, Jay Varriano and Linda Gorynski Third place team was won with a -7 to Joyce Agganis, Chris Lynch, Elaine Faithful and Carol Mahar.

Two person teams are made of a ladies innerclub member and a Mens innerclub member. Both hit their tee shots and then hit the o ther’s drive. they chose the best ball from there and it’s an alternating shot to the hole. Winners of the Mixed Chapman was Nancy Patten and Ozzie Gauvain with a 61. In second place was Pat Ryback and Justin Paris with a 62.4 Third place was Mary Kelter-Strom and Bill McCarthy with a 62.8 Fourth place was won by Pauline and Jim Bellomo with a 64. Fifth place was won by Terry and Denise Carney with a 64.2 Sixth place was won by Alana Pederson and Tom Fabrizio with a 64.4

Winning the 4 day tournament were Cathythibeault and Nancy Gheringhelli going 4 and 3 over Joyce Agganis and Pat Ryback. Third place was won by Gina Mantino and Helen Sidman going 5 and 4 over Elaine Faithful and Gail Conlon. 
Winners of the Gannon Ladies Innerclub Spring 4 Ball Tournament are Nancy Gheringhelli and Cathythibeault Gannon Ladies Hold Spring 4 Ball Tournament The Gannon Ladies Innerclub held the first leg of their Spring 4 Ball Tournament on June 1 st and 2 nd.15 teams entered, eight qualified, four are left. Cathythibeault and Nancy Gheringhelli took the lead on Saturday, with a match of cards with Juanita Grass and Dianne Reppucci both with a -8. Thibeault and Gheringhelli took on Dawn Baribeau and Laurie Lynch and took the match on Sunday 4 and 3. Grass and Reppucci took on Elaine Faithful and Gail Conlon and lost 7 and 6. Faithful and Conlon move on to next weekend Gina Mantino and Helen Sidman took on Tara Friedman and Judy Johnson on Sunday and won 2 and 1 to move on. Carol Mills and Linda Corbett took on Pat Ryback and Joyce Agganis and lost on the 18th hole. Ryback and Agganis won 1 up and move on to next weeks play.

(Elaine Faithful, Sue Vaters, Mary Hunt and Patty Hale) The Gannon Ladies Inner Club kicked off the 2012 Season with a Shamble tournament on Saturday May 5th. A and B played toge ther and C and D played toge ther taking one best ball from each, two best balls for the foursome. Winners with a score of -8 at 134 were Mary Hunt, Elaine Faithful, Sue Vaters and Patty Hale. Second place, with a score of -1 at 141 were Nancy Gheringhelli, Mary Kelter Strom, Sue Mulholland and Barbara Crowley. Third and Fourth place, a tie with a score of even, at 142 were Gail Hickey, Stephanie Jenis, Denise Carney and Dianne Reppucci and Julie Lombara, Juanita Grass, Pat Podrug and Mary Mondello. Hole in One Sue Vaters, a member of the Gannon Ladies Inner Club, hit a hole in one on April 21 st, on the 6th hole, par 3 using a 3 wood.

Gannon Ladies Hold Vance Memorial Tournament The Gannon Ladies celebrated Memorial Day with a tribute tournament, the Janice Vance Memorial Tournament, held at Gannon Golf Course. Winners of the ABCD team were Ann Dawson, Mary Kelter-Strom, Jay Varriano and Angela Gilbert with a -16 team score. In Second place, with a -9 team score were Judy Johnson, Helen Sidman, Carolyn Monaco and Barbara Crowley. In third place, with a -5 team score were Nancy Gheringhelli, Juanita Grass, Maureen Putney and Linda Corbett. 
Winners of the Janice Vance Memorial Golf Tournament are Jay Varriano, Angela Gilbert, Mary Kelter-Strom and Ann Dawson. Gannon Ladies continue Spring 4 Ball Tournament. Gannon Ladies continued their first Major four ball tournament of 2012this past weekend and play the final round on June 16th. Lorraine Mills and Kathy Jauron beat Mary Hunt and Julie Lombara 2 to 1 to play the finals against Elaine Faithful and Gail Conlon who beat Colleen Richards and Nancy Patten also 2 to 1.

Gannon Ladies 4 ball finals Gannon Ladies Innerclub held the final round of their first major tournament of the 2012 season on June 16th with a great win by Lorraine Mills and Kathy Jauron 1 up over Elaine Faithful and Gail Conlon. After being up 2 on the 12 hole, Mills and Jauron found themselves down one at the 15th, where they came back to tie and finally won it on the 18th. In the 3rd and 4th place round, Mary Hunt and Julie Lombara had a 4 AND 3 win over Colleen Richards and Nancy Patten.

The Mixed Chapman pairs a Ladies Innerclub member and a Men’s Iinnerclub member as partners. Both tee off and then the Men hit the Ladies tee shot and the Ladies hit the Mens. then choosing the best ball, alternate shots into the hole. Winners of the Gannon Cancer cup Gannon Ladies crowns new Club Champion. Gannon Ladies Inner Club, had a huge fight to the finish on the final leg of the Ladies Club Championship on Sunday July 29th. Both the Net Division and the Gross Division was a battle taken to the 18th hole. Winning the Club Championship for the first time was Ann Dawson, who beat Jane Fiste one up. the Net Division winner was Chris Lynch who beat Julie Lombara also one up.

Winners of the Gannon Mixed Classic Jay and Jane Fiste Dawson wins again After winning the Gannon Club Championship on July 29th, Ann Dawson has been crowned again in the Senior Club Championship with a two day total score of 160. She came in tied with Mary Hunt and forced a sudden death. Dawson birdied the first hole to win the Championship. Joyce Agganis tookthird place with a two day score of 176 and Lorraine Mills took fourth with a 193. In the Net Division. Linda Courtemanche won the Net Title with a two day net score of 149. In second place, Juanita Grass won it with a 153 and Peg Burke tookthird with a 157.

Gannon Fall Ball Winners Carol Bonner and Sue Mulholland Gannon Golf of Lynn and Beverly Golf and Tennis Clubs Hold Ryder Cup Tournament Beverly Golf and Tennis Club challenged Gannon Golf of Lynn to a two day Ryder Cup Tournament on October 20th and 21st. Saturday, the 20th, was at Gannon Golf course and consisted of 2 player scramble on the front nine and for the back nine, a 2 player one best ball. Gannon Players took the days’ tournament by storm and came out with a 17 – 7 lead overall. Sunday, the 21st, was played at Beverly Golf and Tennis with Sunday being a select best drive and alternating shots on the front nine and the back nine played individual match play. Beverly players came roaring back on the individual play but not enough to beat Gannon, who walked away with the first annual Ryder Cup trophy with a total two day score of 37 – 25. Tournaments were organized by Beverly Pro Dave Dion and Gannon Men’s Innerclub President Tom Mannion.
